November 20, 2009 – Hikal, the preferred long-term outsourcing partner for leading global life sciences companies won the “Runners Up” award in the Best Supplier Category at the prestigious AGROW Awards 2009. The AGROW award is one of the prestigious events in the crop protection industry and is acknowledged as the bench mark of global excellence in the industry.  A panel of judges comprising of eleven internationally recognized experts from the industry chose the winners.

Agrow Awards, established by leading industry magazine Agrow in 2007, aims at encouraging the companies and individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the development of agro-chemical industry. It is the only award that recognizes, celebrates and rewards corporate and individual excellence in the crop protection industry. This year, there were in all 14 categories and the nominees were selected after detailed industry and market consultation. The presentation of the “Agrow Awards 2009” took place at a gala event in the Renaissance Chancery Court Hotel in London on November 11, 2009 and was attended by senior executives of the industry from across the globe. Hikal was one of the only two companies that received special recognition and a “Certificate of Commendation” by the jury and the Editor.
